I think that's a good point, talking to attorneys and hearing what they like (or don't like) about their jobs/practice areas is pretty much always helpful, especially as a 1L.BmoreOrLess wrote:I've definitely found networking events useful just because it is one more chance to talk to an attorney which can always help prepare you for interviews. As far as actually getting a job through them, they seem pretty useless.
I think sometimes it *might* also give you a sense of what people are like at that firm but of course that can easily be skewed by who you end up talking to from that firm, etc.
