Deferring HLS

Post by Pancakes12 » Mon Dec 09, 2013 12:05 am

Anyone here go to HLS after a 1-2 year deferral? I'd like to talk about how you went about asking for a deferral, if you made the right decision, etc.

Asking for a deferral is easy. You literally just check a box. That is, you check the "I'm going to defer" box rather than "I'm going to enroll this year" box, or whatever the text is on the thing that they send you.

As for whether it's a good choice, I have less immediate information, because I didn't defer.

Easy to request. Absolutely worth it. In fact I wish I would've taken another year off (not that I don't like it here, but after one semester of 1L, kinda makes me wish I had that post-UG freedom for just one more year).
