Summer Waitlist Admissions

Post by HankBashir » Mon Mar 25, 2013 6:34 pm

I realize that some of this would vary by school, but for the TLSers who are attending a school they were admitted to off the waitlist in the summer, how difficult was it find housing, etc? Was it an incredible hassle to make changes that much later?

Just generally looking for your experiences in this matter.

I'm attending off the WL and had no trouble at all. Especially if you are going to a school in a city versus a college town, most leases are signed a month or two or even just weeks before you move in, so you aren't too behind.

I imagine it could be more difficult if you are heading to a Charlottesville or Ann Arbor or something, but even then as long as you are willing to settle a little bit for a year, you shouldn't worry too much about it.
