So...I got wait listed at HLS this year and got accepted to UVA. However, I decided to go to Oxford for a year for a master's program and maybe retake the lsat so that I can get a higher lsat score and possibly get a scholarship. With a master's and a higher lsat score, do you think I still have a chance at Harvard since I got waitlisted with the stuff I already have? Or should I just defer UVA?
I don't want to risk losing a T10.

Re: Question regarding HLS
Adding a masters from Oxford will absolutely increase your chances at HLS. A higher LSAT will also help. And do not worry about losing a T10-- if you already have an application that's good enough for a waitlist at Harvard, and you are going to apply again with better LSATs and better softs, then you certainly aren't going to lose T10.
In your shoes I would reapply. UVA is a fantastic law school, but you have a very, very good chance of getting HYS, and of getting full rides at the other T10s.
