Any thoughts on a full ride to Loyola New Orleans vs a 30% Scholarship @ Texas Tech Law(also admitted to MBA program w/ 30%)?

If you want to work in Texas, go to TTU. If you want to work in Louisiana, go to Loyola. If you want to work in some other state, don't bother even considering either of these schools.

Above poster sums it up. With Texas Tech you are looking at competition from UT, SMU and Baylor as well as other lower ranked schools. UT SMU and Baylor are all going to get first crack at alot of jobs in the state so at best you are in 4th place. Still I have heard of people getting out of Tech that weren't necessarily the best students but had a job none the less. Talked to one guy I took the LSAT with and he said his roomate's first year at Tech was "like boot camp" for whatever that is worth to you.

With Loyola your competition is Tulane and LSU. I've heard most grads of Tulane leave the state so you will likely be fighting with LSU students for jobs throughout the state. LSU is ranked higher but I have no idea if it is considered That much better than Loyola. Have you tried applying to LSU? If you could go to LSU for cheaper I would take that over Loyola.

Overall Texas is a bigger state with better employment opportunities but you will be facing stiffer competition. LA is a smaller state but you are really only fighting against LSU for jobs.
