Did you call and talk to someone?

I saw in last year's thread a lot of people already had their need-based aid packages by the 2nd of April. I really hope they release that info around that time again considering the deposit to my 2nd choice school is due April 1st.
I got an email about scholarship info. It stated that they will send out fin aid awards before the April 15 "seat deposit" deadline.

Has anyone submitted the Why Berkeley section of the Matching Scholarship? I am wondering how long mine should be.

Try red-eye flights and/or ones that have a layover.

It also depends on if you're willing to come in earlier/stay later. Skyscanner shows Wednesday to Wednesday flights from Detroit to SF at ~$270. The additional cost of lodging probably won't make it worth it though.

Checking in. I expect to be a Berkeley student next year, and excited about it. No scholarship info, admitted last month.

I submitted a match for NYU in February, but I just got a larger Duke offer last week. I did NYU even though it wasn't my largest eligible offer because it was most likely where I would go over B. However, with Duke's generous offer, lower COL, and killer employment stats, they are jumping towards the front of the pack for me.

If Berkeley would match the Duke scholarship, that would end my cycle. Anyone know if they are willing to consider new offers after you have already submitted for a match?

Does anybody have an opinion on if it's better to submit a matching scholarship offer or wait to see what Boalt offers? I got a scholarship from CCN but I was thinking about waiting to see if Boalt offers more. I don't want Boalt to only offer me what CCN did when they originally would have offered me more.

Yes, according to: https://www.law.berkeley.edu/6957.htm

But as I just wrote, I'm wondering why UVA is not here...

I think it has to do with them being bombarded with matching requests for UVA's huge scholarship offers last cycle.

Interesting that they also match Cornell, but not NU or GULC. I think at one point they also matched UT

Have people started receiving non-matching scholarship offers? If so, please also post admit date! I'm anxiously waiting :)

Do you guys think they'll comply with a request to extend the seat deposit deadline? Seems like they really have nothing to lose by doing so since they don't require an actual deposit. I'd rather do that than say I'll attend even though I'm not sure about it yet.

My letter says April 15th, though it doesn't require a deposit.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
