wee, my first.last@law.nyu.edu e-mail is up-and-running now! (the first.last i made as an alias; the law.nyu.edu thing came on their end)

When you send outgoing emails what's it say? (i.e. if you send an email to your gmail account, which address does it say it came from?)

I set it up under Settings > Accounts to send mail as the law.nyu.edu address.
I sent a test e-mail (selecting the right address from the drop-down menu) to my personal address and there it was: first.last@law.nyu.edu

Anybody know what the status w/r/t school health insurance is looking like?

Also, when are you fine people planning to come to NYC to move in? Do you think arriving the morning of August 20 would be ridiculous (that's the first day of orientation)?

Sometimes flights go up because you are checking them and they know you want them. It has to do with cookies or something. I read that somewhere, anyways.

ETA: The Dean's Cup looks pretty intense. Players over 7 foot and what not. I might just wanna play some pick up. I can't shoot but I can defend and rebound

To anyone who hasn't set up their aliased e-mail...

Go to NYU Home. Click preferences, then find or set your personal address. Copy that e-mail address.


Go to NYU Gmail. Click on the cog button on the right and choose settings.


Go to Accounts, and click "Add another e-mail address you own".


Paste the e-mail address from NYU Home into the e-mail address field. Choose whatever name you'd like.


Confirm the e-mail address. You'll get the verification e-mail in a minute or so, click the link in it.


Go back to account settings and make the new e-mail address your default. You're done! Now when you send an e-mail from NYU Gmail, the receiver will see your alias. You can also choose to use your standard e-mail address on the mail compose screen if you wish.
