Has anyone received interviews from DC firms (either boutiques or big law)?

On that note, have firms starting interviewing yet? Interested in the more boutique-y firms

Susman Godfrey and Holwell Shuster have both began interviewing.

Cravath has made at least 2 offers for clerks looking to start in Fall '24.

Patterson Belknap has began interviewing clerks looking to start in Spring '24, but as far as I know they aren't accepting applications for folks looking to start Fall '24 and won't accept those applications until January.

Don't forget to show some love to non-SDNY, SDTX, and D. Del. bankruptcy clerks! Thanks!

Second this. I'm genuinely concerned that I won't have any luck going into a well-paying firm, bankruptcy clerking feels like a huge gamble

Applied to the NY office and immediately dinged (like the day after my application). I've heard from others that they are interviewing for next year (positions starting in summer/fall) and have given out offers.

Kellogg has started interviewing.

I applied to Quinn and haven’t heard anything, though.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been getting rejections left and right for NY firms. Didn't think I was a bad candidate, but is the market just not great for clerks atm?

The market is fine, it's just a numbers game. You'll likely get far more rejections than interview offers. This isn't like OCI. Keep on applying and interviewing, something will stick!

LOL I applied recently to Susman too and received a swift ding. I wonder if I applied too late? I am sure after they sent out their recruitment letter people immediately applied

It's not too late--I know many people who applied in January/February last year and got offers. I expect the same to be true this year.

I’m not one of the anons you’re replying to, but after a quick Google I figured out that Kimberly is the recruiting contact for Susman.

Who is Kimberly?

She's the point person who appears to be accepting the documents from emailed applications to Susman. She's on the website.

I got one. Not sure it went great though, haven’t heard back lol. Clerking on CA2/9/DC. Went to HYS (pretty good grades) and similar UG.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
