Thanks, NoodleyOne!
Excited to meet all of you. Are any of you in Chicago? I live/work here, but will be looking for a new place; still deciding what neighborhood makes the most sense.

I live in Chicago, so there'd have to be some sort of apocalyptic event to keep me from going.

Same. Kind of hard not to go when you can just walk there. Are we going to be getting major NU Law goodies?

Unless the new dean changes things, not much in the way of swag, sadly.

Clearly, I've made a grave mistake.

Anyone else set up their e-mail yet? I thought it was weird that we got them as mere accepted applicants, but I'll take it!

They gave everyone an email? That seems inefficient, unless it's some sort of trick to make you feel like you're already attending or something.

The e-mail was a bit confusing. They made it sound like all enrollment and other communications would be sent to that address. I set it up and got it on my phone, just in case.
And yeah, it uses the same conventions as actual NU Law e-mail addresses so it will be our actual e-mail address should we decide to enroll. Weird.

Interesting. Oh well, whatever works for them, I guess. Did you get the mailings for the Facebook group, etc.?

Have you guys gotten any emails on the NU law email? They made it sound like everything would go through there once you set it up, but I'm still getting a bunch of emails (student organizations, career services, FB group) on my original one. Not complaining, just paranoid I'm missing some super crucial top secret thing that'll come back to haunt me.

Just FYI, I went back and checked my NU email at the very beginning and there wasn't anything school-related on it. They keep using whatever email you gave them with your apps until they start sending stuff that actually pertains to attending school. I think the first official thing I got was regarding financial aid, and it was in June.
If you already know you're going to attend, I'd start setting up the google account the way you like it and using it, though. You WILL use it and it WILL be your main address, so make everything revolve around it.

Just got in today and 99% sure I'm going. I live in Chicago (have for the past three years). Way too early for this, but when it get times to look for apartments, I have a small real estate company that specializes in an apartment rentals. I lived down in Streeterville for a year so I know the area real well.
Talk to you people soon!

Checking in. Apparently all my animal sacrifices in Johann's name were effective. Odds are very good I'll be attending. Fuck Yeah.
I know i'll probably be getting the info soon but when is ASW? I see that it's on April 5-6. Would love to try and make it if possible.
