So.... who all here is going to ASW, and where are you all planning on staying if you're staying at a hotel?

Also, where is the deep dish pizza thing going to take place at on Friday?

I'll be there with my wife. We're getting there Wednesday and staying at staying at Hotel 71 downtown. It would be nice to get a schedule

I don't know when the formal schedule will come out, but I can give you the basic outline since it is pretty much the same every year. Looking forward to meeting you guys, it should be a fun weekend.

Thursday: Reception at the Law School in the early evening. Optional social events with various student groups. Bar review downtown (not a formal ASW event, but a good chance to hang out with current students)

Friday: Events at school all day. Mostly info sessions about a range of topics, but also tours of campus and the chance to sit in on a real class. It can be a pretty long day, so you might not want to stay out TOO late on Thurs. Friday afternoon there is Wine Mess at school, and then on Friday evening there is the pizza thing downtown (and people will probably go out after dinner).

Saturday: I think the mock class in the morning, and maybe tours of Hyde Park after that?

Damn... The current pricing on that is looking just as expensive as UChicago's Hilton rates. Although I am kind of debating just staying at the Hilton and treating this trip as a mini-vacation.

How much is the Hilton student rate? When I looked a week or so ago it said that the UChicago rate was not available for some reason.

Looks like Gino's East. Not as good as Pizzeria Uno/Due, or even Lou Malnati's (in my spoiled opinion), but still great stuff.

Just booked my ticket for ASW.

I hope that (a) scholarship info comes out for March admits soon and (b) I get some $ so I can withdraw from other schools and save myself some money by not attending their ASWs.

Also, based on the schedule (LinkRemoved), what are white male students supposed to do from 4:00-5:00pm on Thursday, April 11th? I take it that we're just not supposed to show up until 5:00pm?

I'll be eating and drinking at 4...might just drink at 5 too and skip both.

Y'all have Strahilevitz and Levmore, you need to go.

It's a good way of getting the experience of a real class that's actually aimed at you. When you sit in on classes you're not going to "get it" as much. And Strahilevitz and Levmore are amazing.
