Haha, fair enough, Anyways, I too am in the section that is sure to show that impossible is nothing: section F. Anyone know anything about the section F professors, a little disappointed I did not get Hillman or Clermont.paulshortys10 wrote:breadbucket wrote:So, in regards to anonymity, good idea or bad idea to post teachers/section on here for analysis and dread purposes?

Is he awful, I thought I read somewhere around here that he and Hillman were very good? I may, and probably am, mistaken.HBBJohnStamos wrote:I'll gladly trade.breadbucket wrote:a little disappointed I did not get Hillman or Clermont.

I think they are the type of professors your love to hate...you learn the most from them, but you have to work your ass offbreadbucket wrote:Is he awful, I thought I read somewhere around here that he and Hillman were very good? Re: Cornell Law Class of 2015
This might sound awful, or gunnerish, or naive, but after seeing the Paper Chase , I thought it would be really cool to have that "high risk- high reward" type of professor where you either make it or you don't. Ill probably be grateful later on for not having that in terms of not imploding in on myself half way through.msblaw89 wrote:I think they are the type of professors your love to hate...you learn the most from them, but you have to work your ass offbreadbucket wrote:Is he awful, I thought I read somewhere around here that he and Hillman were very good? FYI, newbies, Hillman is universally beloved. He's really not harsh at all (though he can be mean if you don't do the reading).

You will have Hillman and Clermont one of your semesters. If not now, then in the spring. If you have Clermont in the fall you'll likely have Holden-Smith in the spring, and she is the bomb. She cold-calls mercilessly and has no patience for people who don't know what they're doing, but you will learn a ton from her.
If you want to be litigators, pay attention in civ pro. That and lawyering are the causes of any and all success I've had at work.

Re: Cornell Law Class of 2015
Some people hate the class because they are terrified for a whole semester. Besides, no one gets all the great profs. You'll be fine either way. You can always take her conflict of laws class as a 2L if you are so inclined.breadbucket wrote:Now I really am bummedArbiter213 wrote:So very, very credited.Lincoln wrote:You will have Hillman and Clermont one of your semesters. Anyone start buying books yet. I was wondering if people were going, the new amazon route, the used route or simply just waiting until they go to Ithaca to decide.

I'm going to wait until the sections are finalized. With the section F glitch, it could affect the rest of the sections once it is rescheduledLacepiece23 wrote:Anyone start buying books yet. One of my classes taught by "staff" was dropped - now I have a class that doesn't include my section at all. Anybody else have a similar problem?
