Yup... still waiting..... gotta be kidding me. We're literally going to be the last people to hear back aren't we?

Does anyone know how long the leases are for? Is it a full year or just the school year (9 months)?

I think I remember someone saying that it's for 9 months, and then you have the option of renewing it for a year after that if you want.

Well, at least we know it's gotta be tomorrow? I'm a little worried what it's going to be at this point...

Just got my housing assignment!

Definitely worth the wait. 415 West 118th Street, about a block away from CLS, furnished, rent is super reasonable.

Excellent.

Awesome! Congrats!

Does it show up on the housing website or do I have to wait to check my email (no email at work)

Honestly, I've got no idea! I was pretty specific about what I wanted, so I'm a little surprised they got me everything this late in the game. I wonder if I lost the lottery and then someone turned down this place.

Going to try to move in early August, and spend some time getting to know the city before boot camp starts.

Damn... some useful info from FB:

"Just talked to Juliana: All law-only housing is filled so those of us left will hear by the end of this week. We should be placed somewhere between 110-125th between morningside and riverside, and if possible, we'll be placed with law school roommates."

Guess I got screwed over on this one. The price better at least be cheaper.

Honestly not sure. You'd probably have to call in to find out.

I'd much rather be south of the law school too (i.e., south of 116th).

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure what to do at this point. Out of the class of 400, I feel like there's only a dozen or so of us left without housing.

Yeah, someone called in the other day and said 15-20 people lost out on the lottery. I guess that means us?

Of course, other people already got placed into non-law school housing, but they didn't request it either.

I didn't specificy one way or another, and am living with a couple grad students. Honestly I don't have a problem with that at all - having an all law house sounds pretty stressful

Yeah, in the end it probably won't matter. As long as it's reasonably priced and in a good location that's fine with me.

Yeah seriously. Hopefully tomorrow as she said end of the week. Maybe a few of us will end up together and commiserate.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about sharing an apartment with non-law students vs law students

I never really understood the big push to live with law students - Why would one need to live with someone going after the same degree?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
