It seems like everybody in this forum right now is either a deferral or ED. Have they started sending out regular decisions yet?

Yes. They sent out 2 or 3 batches in October of RD decisions. I have one of them. I'm not sure about movement since then. I think there's been some.

Received an email today from Admissions regarding my deferral. They would like me to confirm my intent to enroll next fall, to which I replied: Hell Yeah!

Anybody else receive this?

Also, looks like Admitted Students Day is March 23 according to that email.

That's also confirmed in the admissions letter (which you obviously didn't get this year), so 3/23 it is. Anyone else think a Friday is kind of odd?

It makes sense. A lot of faculty probably lives in D.C. or whatever, and can't work on the weekend?

I currently live in a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath town home on Arlington Blvd that is coming open on June 1, 2012.

The town home is within walking distance of the law school, has basement storage, a private washer/dryer, includes 2 parking decals, and landlord pays water.

For both of us, we currently pay $1075 (it's split unevenly because one bedroom is larger than the other).

If you're interested, email me at efc2uh@virginia.edu and I'll refer you to our landlord.

This thread is way too quiet. Not a lot of 2/3Ls responding compared to last year, I guess?

Ikr? My numbers are accurate and I got in without ED. It's ok, I couldn't believe it either. Thanks you and I should say that I did have some pretty spectacular softs though...I guess they really meant it when they said: "we look beyond numbers"....

I think it's more of the fact that people don't want to work weekends and that this gives you a Saturday to go see Charlottesville. Almost all of the professors live in Charlottesville or Albemarle County (a few live in surrouding counties). There are a couple of lecturers who live in DC or Richmond but they only usually teach one class (once a week) per semester (and have primary/day jobs outside of teaching at the law school).

by go see charlottesville, do you mean get drunk in charlottesville? from my experience visiting law schools, it seems this is the extent of many students' recreational activities, and i am a-ok with it!
