California State Bar Proposes Fee Increase Forum

I am concerned about the proposed fee increase for the California bar exam and attorney licensing. It's hard enough to afford an expensive legal education without additional financial burdens on top of that. With costs rising from $796 to $1,000 for registering for and taking the exam and fees increasing from $1,197 to $1,800 for attorneys seeking licensure in the state, this could be an expensive endeavor. I hope the State Bar considers alternatives to these proposed fee hikes and lessens the financial burden on future law students and attorneys.
