Re: Drop in spring semester grades
I think this depends on whether your T40 is BC/BU or like BYU/UGA.

Re: Drop in spring semester grades
Pretty screwed. In any market, a median T40 student is going to really struggle to land a big law job. If you're targeting a relatively small market like Boston, and if you're not even at a Boston law school, it's close to impossible. You can try, though.Bmgray06 wrote:I'm a rising 2L at a T40. First semester ranked around top 20% (3.65), but this semester my grades were shit (Got a 3.15 and now only top 50%, with a B- in Con Law). Big law/in-house positions this summer, moot court position secured, waiting on law journals. How screwed am I for big law for summer 2016, specifically for the Boston area?

How did you get 1L summer big law with top 20% at a T40 grades?
This suggests to me that you will outperform your grades bc you're an amazing interviewer, super connected, or something like that.
