Looking for an easier semester. Two totally different courses but my only options. Non-IP background.
Employment prof requires a lot of participation (weekly assignments, "homework" etc.). Trademark does not.
Need something that is easy to master with decent supplements.

I took an IP survey course and found that trademark was the easiest of the three major areas (the other two being copyright and patent). Another person in this forum said the TM class he took was one of the hardest. So YMMV. As with every other course in law school, it all depends on the professor.
I will say that a lot more firms, particularly small and mid-size ones, have employment law practices than have trademark practices. So as a matter of practical preparation, employment law might open up more opportunities.
