Re: Just started reviewing for bar exam...
I think you should just take it. You've paid the money to sit for the exam, it's not like they will refund any of your money. Sitting for the exam and getting the results back will let you know more about your strengths. If you pass, great! If you don't, you'll get a general idea of how close or far you are from passing, so that you can decide on a more effective study method in the future.
I assume that passing the bar exam after taking it twice would have the same effect on your future career as withdrawing and taking it next time. The delay in your career is the biggest effect I believe. At least I hope that's the only influence it has - I'm taking NY and NJ myself this week, and I'm really anxious about the MBE, if I screw that up I won't be able to pass either state!
Good luck to you, and to all of us taking the bar this week...

Oh I see. Sorry I missed that somehow. If it were me, it would depend on how much is half. If it's less than $150, I would take it just for the heck of it. But if you do need the money, then I agree, if the delay does not matter to you, take the refund.
Good luck, no matter what you decide to do.

It's $300 of the $625 I had to pay to sit for the exam.

What's a respectable percentage complete for MBE sets?

I've done 63% of the MBE sets on Themis. About 1200 questions total, when you include the simulated and milestone exams. Feel fine for it.

I'm pulling 44%-55%, but haven't tried contracts (which I haven't reviewed). Doesn't seem solid enough to chance the exam.
