Harvard curve for honors
So, I used this forum a lot when I was thinking about law school, so I thought I'd post here to give some info I always wondered about - Harvard Law grades required for honors.
Now, I don't know the "GPA" cut-offs exactly, because they don't release them ("GPA" is calculated at --LinkRemoved-- - they don't call it a GPA and don't let HLS students list it on their resume, hence the quotes). But, I know that someone got Magna (top 10%) with a calculated "GPA" of 3.987. Because that included Dean's Scholar prizes, the person even had a bunch of Ps. I don't know if this was the low or high end of Magna, though.
Anyway, hope this is helpful for anyone out there wondering about the curve at HLS.

there has been speculation in other threads that basically zero'd in on ~ 3.5 for cum laude and ~ 3.9 for magna.

Anyone know what magna grades this year (graduation last week) were on the low end of magna?

Holy hell. What's the point in having "no grades" if people are just doing the same fucking thing without them?

The cutoff is higher than this, at least for cum laude.englawyer wrote:there has been speculation in other threads that basically zero'd in on ~ 3.5 for cum laude and ~ 3.9 for magna.
