Didn't you have undergrad professors that refused to give "A"s? That's life. You'll have plenty of bosses that refuse to give out the highest bonus or raise that employees are eligible for. Get used to it.

No school's rules mandate the exact distribution of grades that a professor must employ, and nobody cares whether you think a particular distribution is just or fair. If your reasoning and analytical skills are aptly demonstrated by this thread, then the A- was pure charity anyway. HTH.

Nu does for curved classes.
