The E&E is pretty terrible IMO. Get Understanding Torts by Diamond, but honestly just read the casebook, torts likely is the easiest 1L class. Which casebook are you using?

E&E...only regret about it was that I didn't use it sooner. Also, "Acing Tort Law" was a quick and easy read/refresher the night before the exam.

Torts is one of those classes that can be taught in completely different ways, despite the subject matter being fairly consistent.

But honestly for torts just do the Berkeley practice tests like ten times and you'll ace the exam.

I liked the E&E for that class. I also found that practice tests in that class were a help. It was nice to see how it all fit together by just going through the motions.

also, think creatively. dont be afraid to draw connections across doctrines. this is common law derived from the same basic principles. but still use good judgment.

torts is relatively easy. go through the e&e and take practice exams and you'll be fine. good luck.

Very true, but be careful, if you're using cases as reference points, to stick only intentional tort cases to intentional torts, and negligence to negligence. I'd also recommend gauging what the professor's pet peeves are in office hours (mine liked emphasizing procedural posture, for example).
