Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread (ROUND 2 SUCKAS)
So here is what the fact pattern was for my civ pro essay portion of the exam. 2 P's sue 2D's, each D wants to implead 2 parties, all 4 of the impleaded parties have cross and counterclaims. One impleaded asshole decides he wants to certify a defense as a class action, 20 members from the class object as improper class action and then decide to sue the impleaded party for some other stuff. Meanwhile, one of the original Ps for some reason decides to join a third D and supplement some BS claims. There are about 3 summary judgments filed and need to be resolved, the pleading of the original case was REALLY screwed up, D's object to every single interogatory of discovery. After the case is resolved there are about 6 different suits filed by new parties that have not been brought up before that all want some sort of collateral estoppel and/or claim preclusion.
We had 60 mins to analyze all of this.NO ONE I spoke with finished this exam. The 2L's from this prof's class year all told me that no one in their class finished her exam. I literally was reading the fcat pattern and about 2/3rds of the way in I literally said "What the fuck is going on?" under my breath.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread (ROUND 2 SUCKAS)
Idk, I wrote 2300 words in 60 minutes and needed to at least double that to cover everything properly. Felt good on the multiple choice and felt like I at least somewhat covered every issue in the essay which a lot of people said they basically gave up on. The curve is my only hope here.Rurik wrote:BarbellDreams wrote:So here is what the fact pattern was for my civ pro essay portion of the exam. 2 P's sue 2D's, each D wants to implead 2 parties, all 4 of the impleaded parties have cross and counterclaims. Its like the ending moments of a horror movie, where everyone is joyously celebrating since they think the monster is dead. But at the last second, it jumps back to life, because we have to suffer through a sequel... Luckily for me, when the beast is slain, it will be gone for good.keg411 wrote:You have to take more ConLawl .mbusch22 wrote:YourCaptain wrote:

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread (ROUND 2 SUCKAS)
If I can avoid it, I plan on never taking conlawl again. I even decided to take a UCC class instead of criminal procedure just to get away from it temporarily (though I know crim pro is really the "interesting" part of conlawl since it's mostly search and seizure stuff).
Although when I get my grades back and realize my corporate dream is dead, I'd probably be better off in CrimPro.
