Question for NY folk - if we already turned in our character and fitness applications, do we still need to send in the form saying we passed. I vaguely recall reading that we don't have to - but, the e-mail explicitly said we did. I suppose I will just in case, I was just wondering if I completely made that up.

I recall it being the opposite. If you pass, you need to send in the State Board certification notice. If you don't pass, then you can't send it in.

According to this, we should be seeing the public pass list shortly (i.e. this afternoon (which was "tomorrow afternoon" yesterday), rather than tomorrow (which would have been "the day after tomorrow" yesterday), as specified on the BOLE website??

Depends on the jurisdiction (I know for a fact that NC, SC, and PA do not allow it). You can use that to waive into DC.

I'd be very surprised if we get VA today. The VBBE has been pretty specific about October 31. Their website front page even says "October 31, 2013: Results for the July 2013 Bar Examination" under the "Upcoming Dates" section. You've gotta think that if they were going to release "as soon as the results are available," they wouldn't be so specific about the 31st.

For me, I am just hoping we get results early in the morning like these lucky (and/or unlucky) NY folks. I cannot survive waiting until the afternoon to find out if I'm a lawyer or not.

You may very well be right, but from what I've heard from folks who were in the same boat over the last couple of years, VA always provides a specific date and often releases results a day or two early anyway. I guess we will see...
