We can't apply for on-campus housing until April 4th right?

Hey guys, do you know if the HLS Class of 2014 facebook group is just for people who have already committed to going, or can anyone join after being admitted? Thanks.

This is my understanding since the website says the application won't be open to first-years before then. And now a question of my own...for someone who plans on deferring, I shouldn't apply for housing right? Is it safe to assume that HLS will grant my request to defer and work for a year to cushion against debt?

I imagine it's for those who have been admitted who are either definitely attending or strongly leaning towards attending. I'm sure almost everyone there has options elsewhere as well and plan to visit during ASW to make their final decisions. You can always leave the group if you don't end up attending. Since 80% sure I'll be deferring, I should probably leave it too at some point...but it's just good to see what activities are going on.

I just got mine. I applied as a loan-only applicant, so it basically just told me what amount of loans is eligible for the LIPP.

I did as well. how long did it take to get yours?

Does anyone know where we should have our official transcripts sent? Do they just go to the standard Admissions Office mailing address?

Hmm, I applied around February 20th or so. I don't remember the exact date.

Not sure if it only happens once you mail in the deposit but does everyone get the email from Dean Minow? She just congratulated me on my choice it was only a few sentences but I thought it was a really nice touch. Can't wait for school to start

How long was turnaround time for the FinAid package -- from the time all documents were marked as received to the time you received the award?

Another poster said ~2 weeks.... HLS SFS said ~10 business days. Is that about right?

I just visited on Monday (I had to make a decision really quick about money from NYU). I was really impressed, and I'm 95% sure I'll be there in the fall! How do I get on this fabled facebook group?

Search for Harvard Law School Class of 2014; it is the group with 106 members in it.

It is official - I just sent in my deposit! I am doing a private apartment. I don't have a choice because I have two cats. HRES only allows one. (I called, and they said no exceptions can be made.)

Roommate is leaving so I need a new one in a two bed two bath condo right across the street from the law school (literally). In unit laundry, full kitchen, living room, balcony. 2400 month/2.

I will be a 3L next school year.

Look on Craigslist - you would probably need a roommate off-campus if you want cheap.
