I've gotta say, I'm a little disappointed that I went to the trouble to set up my shiny new email just to not get any emails from NU

No one really dresses up that much, but everyone looks put together and respectable. I wore nice jeans (not scruffy, no holes) and a t-shirt with a blazer over it or a nice sweater (it was a little chilly). Guys were mostly in jeans and button downs/sweaters or khakis and button downs/sweaters. Hope that's helpful!!jfb wrote:Remnantofisrael wrote:I'm sure there are answers to these questions but in waiting on Internet connection and have been crazy busy moving my family.
Do I bring my spouse to any of the asw events? What should I wear?
Also, any tlsers getting together around the event, I just moved to wicker park this week, so I'm down.
Also, might be nice to mingle with other married or married with kids admits.
I was also wondering this, never been to an asw so would love some input on this.
Have fun
...I plan on khakis and button-down on friday...maybe jeans and button down on Saturday...Christ I feel lame for putting that much thought into this...Law school is going to be very different than grad school...
Sadly won't make the Thursday meetup, but will be there in spirit(s)
I'll be the one in full NU law gettup who accidently wears his purple NYU law sweatpants.
In seriousness, thanks for the feedback. Nothing like an already somewhat uncomfortable event when you're dressed like an ass.

Re: Northwestern Law Class of 2014
Hi all. I'll be coming sometime in the evening on Friday (depends on when I can get out of work), then most of the day Saturday. I'll probably be office casual (no tie) both days, with a black leather jacket. Can't decide if I want to wear glasses for comfort, or contacts to look younger. No spouse as she'll be watching the kids.
No Thursday evening get-together for me though!

Eff it. I put "bar" into google maps. What about Clark Street Ale House? It's six or seven blocks west of campus. I will be drinking there tomorrow around 8pm at the bar. Don't be shy!

Are any of you guys bringing a guest to the Wigmore Follies thing? I know we get a free ticket, but are we able to buy a ticket for a guest?

I wonder where one can find a "Hello, my name is" badge somewhere in Streeterville. Assuming Streeterville is still here and the gas leak hasn't blown it up.
Am I the only single person coming to NU next year? My gosh.src42 wrote:Are any of you guys bringing a guest to the Wigmore Follies thing? I know we get a free ticket, but are we able to buy a ticket for a guest?

So who is actually going tonight? Let's not have bumi go out there for no reason- or me for that reason.

How old is everyone on this thread? I didn't think I was young for Northwestern... but now I'm curious. All of you appear to be married!
If you don't want to reveal your age, just tell me what your favorite television show was growing up. That should give it away As a kid, I loved Captain Planet.
