hello,
anyone have any information on Ole Miss?
Currently 1l at tier 4, full ride. Need to move to north Mississippi for familial reasons next school year. Was looking into Ole Miss, was wondering if anyone knew of transfer stats, number of transfers admitted, or any other info about a tier 4 to lower tier 2 transfer.
Thanks

Re: Transfer to Ole Miss
They only had 3 transfers last year, so no reported GPA range. However, I suspect this might be just that Ole Miss is not a very desirable transfer spot (just cause of employment outcomes/people who want to live in the region probably just started there). So, I think you would be relatively fine as long as your around median/above a 3.0 GPA. Make sure to emphasis your ties or reason to be there in your personal statement and maybe reach out to the dean of admissions just inquiring about preferred transfer stats.idom wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 7:05 pmhello,

Re: Transfer to Ole Miss
Ole Miss will probs take you if you have median grades or slightly better? If you are at Memphis, I'm sure they'd take you. Ole Miss has got great instate costs if you can swing it, so 3L will be really cheap once you become a resident, if you aren't already.
If you aren't at Memphis, Memphis might be a decent spot to xfer to as well and is closer to most of the economic centers in Northern MS than Ole Miss. However, Ole Miss has the stronger alum network and certainly places better in MS than Memphis.
