Asking for LOR

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Feb 05, 2017 2:12 pm

What do I say to a prof when asking for a LOR to transfer? I would say I want to be at a school with better employment prospects but I feel like saying "I want better faculty" or "better location" or "better programs" is gonna come off as bs b/c my school's already in a big city, it's not like my school doesn't have certain courses and good faculty. Would the prof basically know what's up - that it's all about employment - or might he look at it unfavorably and write a mediocre letter? Fyi, I'm at a TT. Thanks!
