WashU
Has anyone been accepted to WashU as a transfer yet? My status checker says: decision made. My impression was that they call accepted students. Should I expect a reject? No e-mail or call.

Re: WashU
WUSTL typically has a lot of people transfer out.
I would caution anyone taking on sticker debt to go to a non-T14 though if you're thinking that doing so will get you a job through OCI. WUSTL's OCI is 100% prelect and transfers do not do well.

Re: WashU
I would say go to Wash U only if there is no alternative AND you plan on transferring out. The school has a terrible reputation and generally attracts anything unethical. There were several cheating scandals this past year and the admin basically looked the other way. Most recently, four students were caught cheating on a con-law take-home final and the admin declined to investigate/charge the students with any wrongdoing.
Basically, if you plan on cheating your way through law school, Wash U is the place to go. If you plan on getting a legitimate legal education, look elsewhere.

But as a supposed section D'er you know the likelihood of the accused actually cheating is real low.bmmccb223 wrote:They were openly working together: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=5350

Re: WashU
I don't think anyone can know that. There was hardly any effort to resolve what happened because the admin didn't want the incident to go public. I'll let people arrive at their own conclusions, but the fact is that Wash U has had more than its fair share of scandals this year and the official response has been uniformly to limit transparency.

I don't disagree with your general sentiment but also you're an idiot hthbmmccb223 wrote:I don't think anyone can know that. They didn't investigate because no one filed a complaint and someone has to for them to investigate. At least know what you are talking about if you are going to make declarations like this.bmmccb223 wrote:I would say go to Wash U only if there is no alternative AND you plan on transferring out. Re: WashU
Can y'all not shit up the thread please?
OP: Transfers into WUSTL typically do not do well employment wise. I'm not sure what your scholarship situation is at your current school, but sticker at WUSTL, particularly as a transfer, is crazy. Try for T14. Consider dropping out if you don't manage the improbable during OCI (regardless of whether or where you decide to transfer).
