Yale waiting thread
Haven't seen one of these yet for yale. Anyone else waiting? Any guesses as to when we'll hear?

Re: Yale waiting thread
does anyone have a feel for what stats constitute having a shot at yale? I've heard top 5% at t-20 is what you want for harvard but is there any similar school/class rank range yale does?

Re: Yale waiting thread
One of my coworkers is a transfer. Top 10% at CCN is what I hear, probs top 5% in the t14. Out of that... I would guess top or second in your class combined with prodigal use of black magic.
Oh, and Asha said on the podcast that the loosest range is top 15% of your class. So if you are transferring from Stanford, you might have a shot if you beat out most of your other classmates. <= the best part about this is that I am not even trolling.

Top 2 in my class at T50.
Any insight on the black magic?

I haven't gotten a complete email. Do we actually know that they send them? I did get the application received email.

Re: Yale waiting thread
So I understand this isn't the place to ask this but my desire for information on doing well is making me ask anyway.
This thread seems to contain people that finished top 5 or better in their classes. I'm gonna start at UGA in about a month or so and am just looking for any advice or tips from successful people. Any PMs with people's experience and advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance and once again sorry for inappropriate place to ask this question.

Re: Yale waiting thread
I am pretty sure there is a separate subforum for advice on doing well in law school. I would look in there.

There is a much more appropriate subforum for this type of information. You will find a lot more help there.lawhopeful10 wrote:So I understand this isn't the place to ask this but my desire for information on doing well is making me ask anyway.

y'all know this thread is basically an in progress reenactment of All Quiet on the Western Front/Game of Thrones/[insert other horribly depressing work here], and we are all basically just going to die off one by one over the next 2 weeks, right?

LS-boundNYC, I'd love to hear how that phone call went. I'm considering calling tomorrow to make sure everything is in order. I tried to check on the LSAC website whether Yale has requested my recs and transcripts, but the application is now gone and message says "no active terms." Does everyone else hit that same message on LSAC for Yale?
*edit* - i looked under "completed applications" on LSAC to see that Yale did request and receive my LSAC report.

Didn't actually get around to the call, unfortunately. Busy week at work. Will hopefully try on Monday or tomorrow if they're open - but I feel safe enough, since I also had a "Complete" on LSAC.readeatsleep wrote:LS-boundNYC, I'd love to hear how that phone call went. I have been having this peculiar issue too. On some calls I had the person was super nice. On other days the person (either a woman or a man) was REALLY mean, for no apparent reason. Which is odd, cuz asha is super nice.

Re: Yale waiting thread
Sorry the delay. I was finally able to call. They were very friendly, said I had been complete for a while, and we figured out why I never got the email.SandScale004 wrote:Did you call to check and if so did they answer your questions? Just tried this and got a very unfriendly person on the other end who refused to answer my questions of whether or not they had received a particular form. Frustrated, bc I am not sure if one deans cert was sent or not from u/g.LS-boundNYC wrote:Didn't actually get around to the call, unfortunately. Busy week at work.
