transfer to uva?
urm at top 25, just got my fall grades and its a 3.62, which is within the top 20%, Virginia resident, chances at UVA? I want to do public defense so I'm wondering if transferring is even necessary and if so will I have a shot at UVA?

Re: transfer to uva?
Can't speak with much authority on your chances but my guess is that being ~top 10% or so would be the more likely range where you could feel confident about chances at UVA.
If you're positive you want to be a public defender I would honestly go wherever the cheapest place for you to be is. Public defenders obviously get paid very little, and a demonstrated commitment to the cause is much more important than grades or school prestige (or so I hear). I hear this is even true at the more prestigious public defender offices like brooklyn. Not sure about federal defenders.
