Top 12% at Mason/Maryland/American. Am I too late?
Alright. After first semester I was floating slightly above top third. Transferring hadn't even crossed my mind. Somehow, I managed to care a fuck load less and do better second semester; hot off the press official rank has me at top 12%. I literally haven't done a damn thing to get apps started because, until about 11:00am this morning, I hadn't entertained the idea of transferring. Am I too late in the game, or should I be able to manage? Realistically I'd only be applying to GW, GTown, and Cornell (which I know is notoriously awful to transfers, but it's close to home).

Gtown is a June 15 deadline, so you can cross that off the list unless you can pull LOR's from somewhere immediately.
Don't know the other deadlines, but as long as they are July 1 or so, you can probably make it. Two things to do right away: ask for letters of rec and start getting your dean's certificate. At some anti-transfer schools, they will make this a royal pain in the ass. But you should probably be ok on the letters. I just asked my letter writers a few days ago and gave them a two week timetable. Not ideal, but it could be worse and both of them didn't complain.
After that, the administrative stuff goes by really fast. LSAC auto-populates all the fields, request transcripts/dean's letter, etc. Personal statement is short and pretty easy to write. And that's about it.
