Re: Chicago ED 2011 Thread
just got all grades Friday, but unfortunately they won't be reflected on my transcript til the 10th, so that would be the earliest I could get them off to LSAC. In the email from Chicago it also said we may email an unofficial transcript. does anyone know what this would entail? I thought about just taking a screen shot of my updated grade report (which includes a "seal" watermark or whatever), turning it into a PDF and sending that off. any point in doing this ya think? would that even be an advisable way to go about itDeSimone wrote:any movement for those deferred? nothing to report here.

I think just emailing it them would be fine. Honor system and whatnot. If you lied they'd revoke any offer in an instant.

I emailed them my grades and attached an Unofficial Transcript document my school provides for students to submit with OCI bids. It probably doesn't make a difference, I'm sure they won't make a decision until they get my rank/official transcript. They send me an email saying thank you, and that they'll add that info in their file.

I think you guys got screwed by our overenrolled class. From what I hear they are cutting back on transfers this year since we already have something like 15 more people than usual in our class.traehekat wrote:Any movement for anyone?

Nothing on my end. But I only just got my last grade recently. LSAC will probably process it sometime next week. Unfortunately, I won't get my official rank until sometime in mid to late July. Based on last year's curve, probably top 9%.
I fear that we were somewhat screwed by the overenrolled class. It's a shame, because my ED GPA was pretty high. RD numbers ... eh.

yeah i spoke with someone at admissions during a visit back in jan/feb and she expressed the same thing. i guess they normally take somewhere around 20-25 transfers total, but this year it will probably be closer to 10-15. it is a little unfortunate, from my perspective, because i feel i am more competitive for those last 5 slots or so which are being cut.Emma. wrote:I think you guys got screwed by our overenrolled class. I'm still waiting on LSAC to process my updated transcript. I had it sent out almost two weeks ago and haven't gotten an update from them yet.

You could email them an unofficial transcript? I don't know if that would make a difference, or speed things up though. At least last year, Chicago didn't seem to do much with RD transfers until July.
I just had my transcript sent out last week. If the turnaround time is really 2 weeks with LSAC this time of year, I might email an unofficial grade sheet.

I also just had mine sent out on Monday. I spoke with someone from LSAC yesterday and I was told it takes about 3-5 days for the transcript to arrive by mail, and another 5-7 for them to process it.
