Re: Various School Transfer Info
Yeah I think I may have combined on some of my quick run down.
I wish we had better OCI data, but its just not really available other then subjective small sample size info.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
Yeah..OCI lists would be awesome; probably the single biggest determining factor for which school to pick (assuming the choice) as well.

Not to derail but do you guys know if Berkeley ever accepts t3 kids? I know Chicago doesn't so I'm looking for a reach school that at least gives me a chance.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
I think it Might be worth a shot, there just isn't enough predictive data out there, but Berkeley does have a lot of transfer students.

Dude, a'nold, take your tier 3 questions to another thread, i.e., start your own dedicated thread so that posters can choose whether or not to click its link. Don't fuck up an otherwise very helpful thread.A'nold wrote:Thanks but are you at a CA t4?JPU wrote:Yes they do. He posts his latest neuroticism in every single transfer thread. He should just consolidate them all into the "A'nold Neuroticism and Other Delusions of Grandeur Transfer Thread" and be done with it.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
His delusions are probably less delusional than yours. I'm pretty sure A'hold is at the very top of his class.solidsnake wrote:He posts his latest neuroticism in every single transfer thread. A'nold: my T3 school has sent people to Berk over the years, including one person last year. UCLA, Loyola and USC are much more common though.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
Thanks apper and dante. Yeah, after I posted I realized I shouldn't have posted that question in here, it's just that I saw Berkeley's deadline and it reminded me that I wanted to ask everyone if they knew if Berk was like Chicago in that they don't accept anyone below t2. Sorry.Danteshek wrote:His delusions are probably less delusional than yours. A'nold: my T3 school has sent people to Berk over the years, including one person last year. UCLA, Loyola and USC are much more common though.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
THanks I added your two additions to the original list, as well as my current school, just cuz I already knew all the info.sanpiero wrote:well done, kings...thanks!
And I added a few more so I don't appear to be super Indiana biased

If anyone has any other suggestions I can keep adding more

Re: Various School Transfer Info
So is there any other info people would want compiled in here? Maybe how many students each schools takes, or some type of OCI info and policies towards transfers and system of bidding, I can probably find more honors policies with transfers as well?

Ideally, and I know that this is asking a lot, but which non-local firms/offices participate in OCI. So for instance, which non-Chicago area offices participate in UChi's and NU's OCIs, which non-nyc offices participate in CLS' and NYU's OCIs, non-CA firms at Boalt's OCI, etc.
Awesome thread though, OP, excellent contribution.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
I will try to get some of that info at least at the big schools in the upcoming days. Honestly I need to do it anyways for my own benefit, so I dont mind sharing.solidsnake wrote:Ideally, and I know that this is asking a lot, but which non-local firms/offices participate in OCI. I will say that some schools have been hiding OCI information lately, I know my own school is changing our website to make Career services passworded for students only.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
OCI details are extremely hard to find, so far the couple schools i checked out either had it totally on symplicity or passworded on the website. Maybe when I have more time I can figure something out to find better details.

Re: Various School Transfer Info
I suspected as much. Perhaps the trend towards password-protection is motivated by the unsettling thought that [top] schools are worried that their thinning list of OCI employers will deter potential applicants. These are dark times...
