Re: IOWA 2013
no problem. it has all the ones that were listed on that original sheet, which isn't many, so it is possible more may still be available through the library or the actual professor. i know one of my profs doesn't have any on file that i can see, and some other people have said NONE of their profs have exams on file.Undergradut wrote:i was wondering about how we find old exams. thanksYou can view old exams and syllabi on ICON if you change the semester from ongoing to Fall 2010 and click Main Site - Law Students - All 2010-2011, then go to content.

According to the website, Winter break goes from Dec 18-Jan 2. Then, there are the intersession classes from Jan 3-Jan 7, and Spring semester starts Jan 10.lsatClay wrote:does anyone know when winter break ends? I know it starts on the 18th..trying to plan a vacation...

From 2:00-2:20PM, they'll be distributing nametags and information at the Boyd Lobby. I can email you the entire schedule if you'd like.
P.S. You coming to hang out with us tonight?

Unfortunately, no. it's tempting, but I am still in the process of moving/unpacking and should try to get settled in the best I can before tomorrow.

What do we need to bring to orientation today? We won't need computers or the Intro class book, right?

Yeah. My every waking moment is pretty much either spent reading, briefing, or walking to/from class.Slimpee wrote:What, now that we're in classes none of y'all have time for TLS? Lame.

I have to say, this is a lot of reading. In stuff that we're not used to (or the majority of us are not).

Re: IOWA 2013
Hey all, remember that this is a pass/fail course--that nobody fails--for one credit (so you could say it's a pass/pass class for one credit.) I spent this evening assembling cheap furniture and watching baseball. Now I'm going to skim the readings and brief a case or two, then get my seven hours of good sleep. Sure, I understand that we should all take advantage of this class as a great opportunity to get a system down for note-taking and briefing, to make sure our study routines are adequate and whatnot, but there's no reason to kill ourselves over this class. Gotta keep it in perspective. Worst case is you get called on and look like an ass for 15 seconds because you took care of real life/sleep in the one week you have before real classes start. Big deal! That's just my opinion. Hope you all are taking care of yourselves and saving the high stress for the classes that count.

Re: IOWA 2013
I'm still reading at 3:52AM here. Probably didn't help that I had a lapse of discipline and decided to watch a movie and visit the gym. A lot of students are taking this week as a chance to build study habits that will serve them well throughout the semester. I figure it's better to screw up now than later in the term when we receive binding grades.sebastian0622 wrote:Hey all, remember that this is a pass/fail course--that nobody fails--for one credit (so you could say it's a pass/pass class for one credit.)
