Texas vs. Vandy in the South
I know that Vandy places more people throughout the South (not including Texas), but what do you think the overall reputation of UT is in the South? I would imagine many of the people staying in Texas after graduation are staying, at least partially, due to a self-selection. With that said, if you have a Texas grad who finishes top 25-50% and he wants to get into the Atlanta/Charlotte/Richmond/Memphis/Charleston/Florida markets, how much worse do you think the Texas grad's chances are than a Vanderbilt grad in the same range? I would imagine that the smaller the city, like Charleston, would make it harder, but a bigger city, like Atlanta, would have more even chances. Thoughts?

Vanderbilt is much, much better for the Southeast. When most people in the Southeast refer to UT, they are talking about the University of Tennessee, so that just goes to show you how little they care about Texas.
And BTW - I'm not just saying when lay people refer to UT in sports. I am talking about lawyers that I have talked to.
