Unless something changes, I'll be there.
Also, I am not too familiar with the area, although I have lived in Clearwater on and off. However, I have heard that there is a lot of nice housing if you are willing to move away from the campus a bit. I'm currently looking at renting a house.

I'm doing the same. Headed down on Friday to begin the search. I don't care about being in walking distance of campus, just close enough that it's a quick drive. I'll let you know if anything really stands out good or bad.

Is anyone still waiting for a response? I was submitted for review 04/15 and I haven't heard anything. This feeling certainly isn't warm and fuzzy!

Re: Stetson 2013
Well, I will tell you this. There is a very fine line in Gulfport between a nice place to live and absolute slums. I highly suggest a personal trip before signing any lease.
I would like to be within biking distance to campus, but I'm beginning to think that I may expand my search and deal with driving a bit more than I would like. I'll keep checking each week for the non-Stetson houses right around campus to open up, but other than that I'm not sure that Gulfport has a lot to offer. Also, it may be time to reconsider my desire to live in a house and start checking out apartments.

Re: Stetson 2013
I just did an extensive tour and search of housing in the Gulfport, St. Pete area and agree hat you need to move away from
Stetson a bit to find nice housing. The good news: there is a lot of affordable housing. I already know a bit of the area pretty well, (I went to Eckerd College for Undergrad)--you can move away from Stetson and still be a reasonable distance. If you like the city, there are affordable and very nice condos in downtown St. Pete (artsy city life--by the amazing Dali museum) which is about 15-20 minute drive from Stetson. If you are like me and enjoy the beachy feel, Pasadena, very close to Stetson is amazing and affordable. That being said, I need a female room mate! lol.

Does anybody know where we are supposed to send our final transcripts? My UG's system keeps trying to tell me to send it to the Deland campus, but I'm not sure if that's right.

Call the office of admissions and they will give you the address. I had the same problem with my school.

I have my apartment and everything ready! I'm so excited, I absolutely love St. Pete. Anyone else get the housing situation figured out yet? When is everyone planning on moving to St. Pete?

I have mine. It was post-marked April 23 but then again I was accepted back in December. Maybe it depends on your acceptance date. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to contact them, they are a very helpful staff.shawty18ga wrote:Has anybody gotten a financial aid award letter yet? I'm wondering where mine is....

I'll be in Stetson this fall, too. Should I live in a stetson campus dorm?
