Germany has been playing beautifully, but did you just see that goal by the Netherlands?

It was a lot of fun to be abroad and root for the USA - we had a lot of USA vs England heckling going on.

damn...that's pretty cool. i had a couple friends who were also in south africa for the world cup. i think it cost each of them 2k for the roundtrip plane ticket and at least 1k for accommodations.

i didn't see the goal...i'm at work and there isn't a tv in the room i'm in. i should move to a location with a tv and catch the second half.

As many of you know, I am planning a night on the town for the week before orientation, including a Cardinals game and a trip down the landing. This will be a great way for all of us to see the city, get to know one another, and enjoy ourselves before the year starts, so hopefully we get a good turnout!

I will probably order the Cardinals tickets in the next few days. I know we still have a while before we get down there and we can iron out the details in August, but I want to make sure I get enough tickets. My biggest concern is that the tickets I have my eye on are gone when I go to order them. Buying early is definitely the way to go so we are sure we have enough.

The Details:
-Cardinals game against the Milwaukee Brewers
-August 17 at 7:15
-Tickets will be $21 each (The service fees pushed it to $21)
-Will probably go to Mike Shannon's restaurant or Paddy O's (two popular pre-game hangouts) for some beers and hot dogs before the game.
-Whoever wants to go down to Laclede's Landing or a casino after the game is welcome to come. (I know I will be there!)

I can buy 18 tickets that are pretty much together (and I might be able to snag a few more in the same area). The tickets are in the bleachers, and 12 are in one row and 6 are in another row. As of now, I have 12 tickets taken:

since you don't currently have @wulaw.wustl.edu, i wouldn't give that out.
If you give out @wustl.edu you can change the address to which that forwards at anytime.
I'm honestly going to just stick with my gmail address. No use confusing anyone in my address book.

on another note i was ran across our course list/schedule for this fall as well as our required books. of course all the sections are unassigned so the course schedule isn't very helpful. at least we're able to see how much our books will cost.

what does being part of the network do for you on facebook anyway? i mean i've been a part of the wustl network literally since facebook started (dating myself) but i don't really see how it changes the site for you.

it's on webstac. expand "course and registration" and click on "course listing". however the professors for the different sections of a particular course use different books so there's no way to tell yet exactly what books you'll need.
