Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
I am 95% certain I will be at WUSTL. The remaining 5% represents the possibility Michigan calls me off of the waitlist in the next month or two. Hopefully I see you guys in the fall in St. Louis!

Most likely will be there! And I'm excited! I'm feeling a lack of excitement in this thread....

You want excitement? Cause I am STOKED about WUSTL! I have been talking about it nonstop since I got back from my visit this weekend and I can't wait to start in the fall.karmakmsa wrote:Most likely will be there! And I'm excited! I'm feeling a lack of excitement in this thread....

Alright that's what I want to see!!! I've heard great things about ASD and the campus. Can't visit because I'm living abroad right now. If anyone wants to share any stories about WUSTL's sweet campus I am eager to hear.romothesavior wrote:You want excitement? Cause I am STOKED about WUSTL! Absolutely first class facilities. Newer building with a Gothic-campus exterior. Interior has all of the amenities (i.e. flatscreens everywhere, sunny courtyard, beautiful reading room, cafe, etc. etc.). In a nice part of St. Louis too.karmakmsa wrote:Alright that's what I want to see!!! I've heard great things about ASD and the campus. Can't visit because I'm living abroad right now. WOO WUSTL!
Also about 99% sure I'll be there this fall too. Michigan has recently offered me a really nice dean's scholarship, but my wife and I have connections in MO and were already pretty set on WUSTL.

I'm glad to see some enthusiasm in this thread! I can't wait to start in the fall.
The "hurry up and wait" for the next 4 months will be difficult to handle but i'm convinced that it will all be worth it!

I was finally able to make a decision after ASD.
Excited to be in St. Louis in the Fall.
Anyone have any idea where they are planning to live?

I've been poking around on craigslist a little bit just to get a feel for rent pricing and such... I think I'd either like to be in the Demun neighborhood just south of campus or the central west end. Definitely would like to find a roommate eventually-- splitting a 2 or 3 bedroom would save so much money..

I was all set on WULS but then BU made it very difficult with a scholly, fellowship, and great ASD! Im leaning towards BU but I certainly don't want to turn down WULS this will be a difficult couple of days...

I'm planning on living in University City or the Central West End ("CWE" I think that's what Sibley was referring to). I'm from St. Louis and not a huge fan of Clayton but it's not a bad place to live either -- especially if you're moving to St. Louis with a significant other.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
I think maybe they meant CWE for central west end. its just on the other side of forest park from campus. It's a trendy, young area (from what i've heard). A little bit pricier but really not that bad if your splitting rent with someone (~$500/mo.)sibley wrote:someone said a lot of students live in a place called... It's the other way around for me. WUSTL made me a scholarship offer and BU didn't, plus I'm super interested in their Transnational Law Program.prolyphek wrote:I was all set on WULS but then BU made it very difficult with a scholly, fellowship, and great ASD! Sent in my deposit and getting excited for the fall. Has anyone found any good housing sites? I thinking about Demun or University City. The Central West End is a little pricey.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
I'm thinking about getting a house or an apartment (leaning towards house) and I'm definitely interested in getting roommates. If I can keep living expenses at 300-400 bucks like a lot of students said, I'm going to do it.

AWESOME. I'm forwarding this to my boyfriend who must not know about it or else he'd have been talking about it. Techy things, you know.jumpropeck wrote:http://www.padmapper.comLalalawyer0102 wrote:Sent in my deposit and getting excited for the fall. Has anyone found any good housing sites? This site is pretty awesome. It's basically a collection of a number of housing sites that are displayed on Google map's interface. You can also set parameters to help narrow down search results. I would suggest starting here!
edit: the prices are all wrong =(

Deposit down. Probably won't need the refund, but it's a nice option to have just in case
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
