First Year Take Home Pay?
I'm starting as an NY BigLaw associate in the fall and just received info re: moving expenses. Moving expenses along with the bar exam course will be treated as taxable income and because of that recruiting has warned paychecks after the first month at the firm could be "significantly smaller than normal." I don't know what that means. Could someone provide an idea of what their checks looked like as a first year? Should I reach out to HR? Thanks.
