Avoiding work in biglaw

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Nov 27, 2017 9:19 am

Once bonus is paid, I am leaving my firm to lateral to another market. I have given a lot personally to this job but don’t want to kill myself any more than I need to Since I’ll be leaving shortly.

Any advice for avoiding work over the next six weeks WITHOUT burning bridges? Would love to hear from people who have been in this situation.

Just keep up appearances. Once you give notice your work will dry up.

Take a long vacation. When people try to give you work before or after, say you're too busy as you're trying to get things done before, or catch up on things following, said vacation.
