Dilemma

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Sep 09, 2017 9:52 am

3L student at a T14 school. I interned at a federal agency this past summer and received a full-time offer. The problem is that I would like to work in a different market, preferably in government or public interest, but the job offer would expire before any movement in my preferred market. I'm worried that if I decline this offer, I might be left jobless if I am not successful in my preferred market. Taking the offer and reneging later on sounds like a bad professional move and I am worried about word getting around. I'm grateful for the offer, but I just do not want to live in that area.

Any thoughts on what to do in this situation? I would appreciate any fresh thoughts!
