Billable year ended 11/30.
Finished with ~2010 billables and ~50 pro bono.
P jazzed for impending shitty bonus.

Yes, please. Lets dispel the myth that non-nyc big law is less demanding.Anonymous User wrote:A hair over 2100, about 70 of which was pro bono. (Secondary market V100)

Lateraled to new firm partway through April, billed 1100 through October when our year ended. Non-NYC primary market.
The total between both firms is 2234.

Secondary market big law, not nyc market salary or bonuses. For the fiscal year that ended this fall: ~2300 billable. For calendar year 2015: ~2400 billable.
I don't get paid enough.

Re: Year End Billables Check
Anon from above. I chose my current firm over other firms (esp. over major market firms) in part because of the promise of fewer hours / a longer and more sustainable career. But I and everyone I know here is working hours comparable to a typical NYC shop. So that's not great.mvp99 wrote:Yes, please. Secondary market V50 satellite office. Currently at ~2500; will probably get near 2700 by the end of the month.
So yeah, secondary markets can be just as brutal as NYC.

Out of curiosity, is this a true secondary market, or another major market just not nyc... i.e. LA, Chicago, DC, SV, etc. ... if not one of those, then damn, broAnonymous User wrote:Secondary market V50 satellite office. Currently at ~2500; will probably get near 2700 by the end of the month.
