1L Work & OCI Conflict of Interest?
Odd question came up today. In two of the cases I've worked on at my 1L firm job, the opposing party's counsel is now interviewing me through OCI. One required a form, which I completed, which asked about any potential matters in which they were opposing counsel. I reveled the matter, but now I'm worried this might be an issue. I don't have all my eggs in that basket, obviously, but I was really impressed by that interviewer and would love to callback there.

It won't be an issue unless you are hired and most firms have set procedures for screening people from conflicts. It's really not that hard -- especially for a summer who isn't really expected to contribute all that much -- so it shouldn't factor into their decision.
But even if it did matter, what can you do? Relax.

I'm calm, haha. Just a very unexpected thing to come up.

You'd be prevented from working on or discussing that case, but unless these firms absolutely need you on that matter for some reason it shouldn't be an issue in hiring.
