Good luck to all of you. I can't stand this wait. Does anyone know how many OCIJ spots are left? Did anyone ask Deana Willis?

OCIJ people still waiting--were your references checked?

Deana just posted that EOIR OGC and OCAHO are done, so it looks like the following components are remaining to confirm that hiring is completed: Antitrust, EOIR OCIJ, and USTP.

FYI - if you haven't seen your travel reimbursement yet, it's because they had errors on a bunch of them. They are currently reprocessing them.

When I didn't see mine after the mass-email, I emailed asking about it, and they insisted it had been posted on 1/8/15. I triple-checked, called my bank, and turned my apartment upside-down to find the form I had faxed to confirm that the account and routing numbers I gave were correct. When I emailed them back to say I had nothing on my end and ask if they had a confirmation number, they wrote back about the errors.

As we said in the Navy: stand by to stand by. :?

Still waiting on OCIJ...I've called a couple of times, but no updates. This waiting game is tough...I've now turned down two job offers in hopes of a call from OCIJ. Anyone else out there heard anything new?

I guess it goes without saying, but if you're sitting on an offer and you know you won't take it, I'd sure appreciate you guys letting them know soon. :)

I'm still waiting on an offer too. I've emailed and all they can tell me is that I'm still a finalist. The waiting game is SO tough!! I don't know whether to hold on a little longer or pursue other options. I still have my hopes up as this is my dream job....

I also agree. Accept or decline so we can all move on!! 8) :D

Good luck to everyone!

According to Deana's email today, there are "only two or three remaining unfilled positions." Good luck to those still waiting to hear back!

Did you accept an offer? It was one of the emails that promoted the Facebook page.

I'm currently sitting on an OCIJ offer. There's about a 95% chance I'm going to decline, so don't lose hope yet!

Can't believe it has taken this long. My hopes of getting an OCIJ offer are on life support. :(

Mine are too. I don't think we have a chance anymore. It looks like the majority of people who got offers got them in December. Now it looks like I won't know where I will be working until at least after I take the bar. I don't even think many places hire before that. It's stressful and depressing!!

Does anyone know specifics about the background investigation? Specifically -- any guidance on timeframe? I submitted my information mid-December. This probably varies based on component, but I was just curious to hear if anyone had heard anything or noted any progress. Thanks.

I submitted mid-December my year, and first heard back about at the end of April. (For one of the public-trust type background checks.)

Yeah, someone in the FB Group said that she was told that it would not be until Spring.

Currently Attorney Advisor here - the background check process starts at different times nationally but when I was going through, mine didn't start until a week or two before bar exams.

It may have been discussed earlier ITT, but have people heard much about the range of available start dates? I know I heard first week of October was the standard entry time, but has anyone heard of a willingness to let us start earlier than that?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
