Do firms call your 2L summer firm if you apply for 3L OCI?

Postby Anonymous User » Tue Jun 11, 2013 11:09 am

Normally I would think applying for 3L OCI would be a good security blanket, even if there aren't a lot of jobs, but the problem is I've heard rumors that if you apply for 3L OCI, some firms will call your 2L summer firm before giving you an offer, potentially leaving you in a very awkward position if you want to go back to the 2L firm and only applied as insurance.

Is this actually done? Should I bother applying for 3L OCI if I'm at a generally 100% offer 2L summer firm?
