OCI E-mail/Snail Mail Rejections by Firm
Maybe there's no actual uniform rule for a given firm, but i thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread on the form of post-screener rejection each firm uses. Yes, I realize this isn't really productive, but maybe it'll sate people's curiosity and give them a better idea of where they stand. For my school at least, I know the format for the following firms:
E-mail:
Jones Day
Cadwalader
Allen & Overy
Brown Rudnick
Simpson Thatcher
Schulte

One of the O firms (OMM or Orrick or something I think) called people to reject them my year. That was a lot of fun for people.

one would think firms would just stick to e-mail rejections, since that's the fastest and least awkward method. *sigh* lawyers.

It was Orrick. And yes, oh so fun to dash out of class to take the call only to have it be a kick in the nuts.thesealocust wrote:One of the O firms (OMM or Orrick or something I think) called people to reject them my year. That was a lot of fun for people.

I know a guy who was left like a minute and a half "We loved you so much, but can't offer you an offer!" voicemail rejection by a firm. Truly awful.thesealocust wrote:One of the O firms (OMM or Orrick or something I think) called people to reject them my year. That was a lot of fun for people.
