How did you place your articles so well? Are you a professor?
Not a professor, a wannabe one. In descending order of probability:

1.) Sheer luck.
2.) Interesting and well-written introductions and abstracts.
3.) Topics that appeal to your average 2L AE.
4.) High-profile outside readers who are prominently thanked in the footnote and quoted in the submission letter.
5.) After several years of practice -- about 50% of which was appellate work -- I write well.
