Just when we thought the economy has gotten better...

Struggling with suppressing my urges to kick a snowman in his snowballs.

Holy fuck! I expected it to be bad but not brutal like this. Luckily it seems that schools are doing much better now.

What will be interesting is to see the c/o 2013 results (aka current 2Ls). It might confirm the speculation that hiring is up in a big way this year. But we won't see them until this time 2 years from now. That's the problem I guess with the NLJ250.

Vandy and UCLA also really surprised me. Seems like schools with especially big class sizes or schools that don't really place into big markets got especially screwed.

C/o 2011 OCI was indeed the year which spawned "Bid NYC"

If I remember correctly, OCI '09 was the year Mich CSO told people to bid Chi. Which was the wrong advice.

Also, we need to add AIII from 2011 to make this meaningful.

I'm a 1L at a school around 20th on this list, and while this is scary, there is a huge difference between the 3L's (many of who are still looking for work) and the 2L's (who seem to have summer numbers more like per-recession levels, not all the way there, but definitely better the this list). Firms seem to have just skipped over the 3L's this year in favor of going with the next batch of 2L's...while selfish, I hope the trend continues next year since I'm right around the 20% mark after the 1st semester.

Hiring was up about 25% for C/O 2012 relative to C/O 2011, which was indeed the absolute trough. I expect the 2012 numbers will look much like the 2009 numbers.
