How to get interviews in a city where I have other interview
I recently sent resumes to several law firms in a city in hopes of landing a job there after I complete my clerkship. So far, two of the firms have offered to fly me to the city for an interview. I have not heard anything from the other firms. I'm curious if it would be a good idea to send a follow up email to the firms I haven't heard from to notify them that I'll be interviewing with firm A and firm B in their city and that I hope to have the opportunity to interview with them as well. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd appreciate hearing them. Also, if anyone has ever done something similar and has any suggestions on what to say in the e-mail, I'd appreciate that as well.

This is totally acceptable and normal. Just tell them you'll be in town on certain dates and you would love to meet them if you can. Even if you can't formally interview, it might be worth it to sit down with an attorney for coffee or something and just get your name in there. I'd utilize the opportunity if you can.
