So I don't have any callbacks yet and I'm going to churn up a new batch of resumes to shit out across the region. When doing mass mailing with firms with which I've had zero previous contact, does it make sense to contact an alum at the firm and send them my resume, or just dump it straight on the recruiting e-mail from NALP/webpage?
If the former, what should I say? It seems an awkward thing to send my resume to a complete stranger and ask them to do me a favor based on coming from the same school.
