Big offices and HQs of firms vs. branch offices

Post by wildpreservation » Tue Jun 21, 2011 10:52 pm

Hello, I am trying to preference firms on my bid list for OCI...

I am looking for some knowledge of the pros and cons of working in a big firm's main HQ office vs. a branch office, a bigger office vs. a smaller office (of the same firm), a London HQ firm vs. a NY HQ firm and their HQ or branch office in NY/London, etc. What about branch offices in NY that are just as big as the HQ office?

I am aware that many of the answers I am looking for will be firm/office specific, but my bid list is 50 firms and I am looking for general responses. Please assume that the firms are HQed in NY, DC, London, or somewhere else and the office I am considering for my bid list is the HQ or a branch office in NY, DC, or London. Additionally, the firms I am considering have large corporate practices
